This internship is designed for students or aspiring designer interested in gaining hands-on experience creating professional marketing and communication materials. Interns will work alongside HumanKind's Communications team to develop creative content that supports programs, fundraising efforts, and community outreach while building a strong porffolio of real-world work.

This is a structured learning opportunity focused on creativity, mentorship, and developing practical graphic design skills in a professional setting.

What You’ll Learn & Experience

  • Gain hands-on experience designing digital and print materials that support HumanKind's mission and programs.
  • Create graphics for social media, newsletters, presentation, flyers, brochures, event materials, and internal communications.
  • Learn how to apply and maintain consistent organizational branding across multiple communication platforms.
  • Assist with photo selection, image editing, and preparing graphics for print and digital use.
  • Gain experience using applications to develop professional-quality marketing materials.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Learn how graphic design supports fundraising, recruitment, community engagement, and brand awareness.
  • Receive feedback throughout the design process and learn how to revise projects based on stakeholder input.
  • Assist with organizing digital assets, maintaining digital files, and managing project timelines.
  • Strengthen professional skills including creativity, communications, collaboration, time management, adaptability, and attention to detail.
