Position Overview

Precision Healing Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis in our Clarksville, Tennessee outpatient office. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with a variety of mental, physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities. Your expertise will empower patients to develop, recover, and maintain essential daily living and work skills, thus maximizing their independence and quality of life.

Work Environment

The Occupational Therapist will work onsite in an outpatient office collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, physical therapists, and nursing staff. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, offering flexible scheduling options that help maintain work-life balance. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art resources to facilitate effective patient care and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patientsโ€™ cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities, alongside assessments of their home and work environments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's specific needs and goals, ensuring patient and family involvement and understanding.
  • Implement and adjust occupational therapy interventions to align with patient progress and changing needs, documenting all actions meticulously to maintain compliance with departmental policies.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to foster effective communication and coordination of care, providing updates to patients, families, and team members regularly.
  • Supervise and mentor therapy aides, assistants, and interns in executing the occupational therapy plan, while also providing direct patient care as necessary.
  • Actively participate in departmental program development, proposing modifications and updates to enhance the quality of care and align with national therapy standards.
  • Serve as a comprehensive resource for patients and families regarding community assistance programs, follow-up care, and additional healthcare resources.
  • Regularly review and file patient documentation, ensuring the precision of billing and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The Occupational Therapist at Precision Healing Center will work with a diverse patient population. This includes individuals with a variety of conditions, such as orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, and developmental challenges. By fostering therapeutic relationships, you will not only address mobility and functional limitations but also help patients navigate the emotional aspects of their rehabilitation journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program is required.
  • A current and valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in occupational therapy, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment protocols, evidence-based therapy interventions, and patient care principles.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting, providing therapy to a varied client base.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, enhancing documentation and patient management processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A proven track record of empathy and patience, demonstrating a true desire to assist individuals in achieving their highest potential.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this Occupational Therapist position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 90,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.
