Job description

LAFAYETTE AVIATORS - VIDEOGRAPHY INTERNSHIP - SUMMER 2026
FOCUS: Game Day Video Production & Digital Content
The Lafayette (IN) Aviators (www.lafayettebaseball.com) are a summer collegiate baseball team in the Prospect League, providing collegiate players the opportunity to compete in a wood-bat league in front of professional scouts. At the same time, the Aviators deliver an affordable, fun, and family-friendly entertainment experience to the local community.
The team plays at Loeb Stadium, a modern facility that opened in 2021 and features stadium suites along with a variety of premium seating options.
The Aviators organization has built a hands-on, immersive internship program designed to prepare participants for careers in sports and media. Interns become an integral part of the game day staff, gaining real-world experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Through active participation and daily feedback, interns develop both technical and professional skills that translate directly into future opportunities.
This specific internship focuses on videography and digital storytelling, offering the opportunity to capture the excitement of live baseball while creating dynamic video content for social media, promotions, and fan engagement.
This internship is unpaid and offered for college credit.
Responsibilities
  • Capture high-quality video during games, including player highlights, fan experiences, promotions, and behind-the-scenes content
  • Film cinematic game footage, interviews, hype videos, and social media reels
  • Edit and deliver short-form video content quickly for use across digital and social media platforms
  • Collaborate with the marketing and media teams to support game day content needs
  • Assist in developing a consistent video style and visual identity for the organization
  • Organize and maintain video footage and digital media assets
  • Contribute creative ideas for storytelling, promotional campaigns, and fan engagement
  • Support occasional non-game day events, appearances, community activities, or promotional shoots

Ideal Candidate
  • Available from May 23rd through approximately August 12th (flexible)
  • Available for all 30 home games and potential playoff games
  • Experienced with DSLR or mirrorless cameras and live-event videography techniques
  • Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and/or After Effects
  • Able to work in fast-paced, live-event environments and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of composition, lighting, pacing, and storytelling through video
  • Comfortable capturing content around fans, staff, and players in a professional setting
  • Passionate about sports, videography, and digital content creation
  • Experience creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts is a plus

We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
