Spring 2027 Assurance Internship
Rushton is seeking candidates for their Spring 2026 Assurance Internship Program. Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree with a major or concentration in accounting. Prefer candidates enrolled in junior or senior year of school or graduate school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Candidates will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience that will give them insight into the daily tasks and responsibilities of a beginning staff accountant in the firm. Under close supervision, interns perform a variety of entry-level tasks and special projects; assist with audit testing in-office and on-site at client offices while embedded with the full-time audit team; perform data entry functions; work with audit and accounting specific software; track and analyze information; and perform client file imaging tasks.
All internship positions are paid positions. The Spring 2027 Assurance Internship program is January to April and includes one position. Students are required to work 20-30 hours a week.
Requirements for the position:
  • Enrolled in college pursuing degree with a major or concentration in accounting (experience or interest in government and non-profit engagements preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work as a team, meet project timelines, proficiently utilize accounting technology, and strong computer skills
  • Availability to work 20-30 hours a week
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Valid credentials to work in the U.S.
  • All students must provide their own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship
