We are seeking a motivated Co-op Student in QA Testing to support our datalogger product line. This role is ideal for a student interested in hands-on experience with embedded systems, telemetry, and cloud integration. Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in the writing, execution, and documentation of QA test cases.
- Update and maintain test scripts to reflect evolving requirements.
- Conduct manual testing on datalogger firmware and hardware.
- Perform end-to-end validation and verification testing, including telemetry paths:
- GOES
- IRIDIUM
- Cellular
- Radio
- AWS Cloud integration (via MQTT, MQTT-SN, and brokers/topics)
- Test data flow from dataloggers through telemetry links into AWS cloud services.
- Record, track, and report test results, issues, and bugs using established tools.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and cloud engineering teams to ensure overall system quality and reliability.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related program.
- Familiarity with QA processes, test scripting, and documentation.
- Interest in embedded systems, telemetry communications, and cloud platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Experience to be Gained:
- Hands-on experience testing real-world environmental monitoring technology.
- Practical skills in QA methodologies, embedded firmware testing, and AWS cloud integration.
