Job description
The Internship & Leadership Program Coordinator provides strategic leadership for experiential learning, student leadership development, community engagement, and employer partnership initiatives that support student success, retention, career readiness, and institutional effectiveness. This position advances the university's mission by developing high-impact educational experiences that prepare students for leadership roles in a global and diverse workforce. The coordinator collaborates across academic and administrative divisions to create leadership pathways, strengthen community and corporate partnerships, expand internship opportunities, and foster student engagement through innovative programming and experiential education initiatives.
Duties & Essential Job Functions:
Strategic Leadership & Student Development
1. Coordinates the AddRan Leadership Program (ALP), a selective, year-long leadership development experience for liberal arts students.
2. Coordinates the AddRan College Center for Student Success (ACCESS).
3. Develops and implements a college-wide peer mentoring program to support student retention and career readiness and other programs as needed.
4. Collaborates with academic departments to integrate experiential learning and leadership development into the student experience.
Internship & Experiential Learning
5. Develops, expands, and maintains partnerships with employers, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, alumni, and TCU Career Services to increase internship and experiential learning opportunities and awareness.
Community Outreach & Employer Engagement
6. Builds and sustains relationships with community organizations, educational institutions, corporate partners, and civic stakeholders to support internships, programming, and workforce development.
7. Represents AddRan in community outreach initiatives and promote service-learning, volunteerism, and civic leadership engagement.
8. Coordinates employer engagement activities such as career fairs, networking events, employer panels, leadership programming, and recruitment initiatives.
Program Administration & Assessment
9. Prepares reports and presentations on student participation, learning outcomes, retention metrics, and partnership engagement.
10. Ensures compliance with university policies, risk management procedures, and accreditation expectations.
Additional Responsibilities
11. Represents programming at admissions and orientation events as assigned.
12. Serves as liaison between TCU Career Services and AddRan College.
13. Supports Non-Academic Careers in the liberal arts at the graduate level.
14. Teaches leadership and career readiness courses as needed (provided that 18 hours or Master's Degree requirement is met).
15. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, Business, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
• 2 years of program coordination, experiential learning, or employer relations.
Preferred Education & Experience:
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience working with web-based HR systems, particularly PeopleSoft.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools to identify patterns, trends, and insights for decision-making.
• Knowledge of data collection techniques and reporting measures.
• Skill in some or all components of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to plan, implement, and manage projects from concept through evaluation and scaling.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to build collaborative partnerships with faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to maintain strong judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
• Ability to use excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
