Every day, our Registered Nurses deliver a level of excellence and compassionate care to our patients in the ICU. South Florida Baptist Hospital, BayCare's newest facility completed in 2024, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and advanced medical innovations to deliver exceptional care and an outstanding patient experience.
Positions details:
  • Location: South Florida Baptist Hospital - Medical/Surgical ICU - Plant City, Florida
  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • On Call: No
  • Always in person
  • This position may be available for the Critical Care Internship Program; however, availability is subject to change based on current openings and staffing capacity

Requirements:
  • RN (Registered Nurse) License
  • Diploma, Associate's, Bachelor's or Higher in Nursing
  • 1-year RN experience in the ICU in an Acute Care setting
  • BLS certification with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification with the American Heart Association

The Registered Nurse - ICU responsibilities and skills:
  • Works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of ICU patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
  • Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
  • Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in critical care
  • Monitor, record, and update care team on patient vitals and assessments.
  • Identifying sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
  • Responding to medical emergencies for critical patients
  • Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge
  • High emotional intelligence to create a positive patient care experience that includes simplifying medical terminology and concepts to the patient
  • Professional accountability and development
