We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Global Commodity Manager. This pivotal position involves the development and execution of commodity strategy, strategically sourcing components to achieve lowest total cost of ownership, and supporting ongoing initiatives that reduce risk and increase value for the customer. Reporting directly to the Global Procurement Director, this role is based in Wood Dale, IL, requiring a minimum on-site presence of three days per week. Location: Wood Dale, IL (Hybrid - minimum 3 days onsite)
Reports to: Global Procurement Director
In this role, a typical day will look like:
  • Manage overall responsibility of material spend between $40M-$50M used in production of Videojet for fluids ,Dyes, solvents, additives, packaging, blow mold, injection mold thermal transfer ribbons.
  • Develop, negotiate, and complete contracts/agreements with suppliers that minimize TCO, improve quality, minimize supply risk, and assure on-time delivery.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of chemical commodities, global supply markets, new technologies, supply landscape and pricing trends.
  • Build and lead a pipeline of PPV/VAVE projects by conducting cross functional workshops throughout Videojet Technologies Inc. and help implement them.
  • Develop and implement working capital turns improvement programs including payment terms extension, inventory reduction, lead time reduction, Consignment and 3PL
  • Prepare and conduct RFQ/RFQ's and analyze quotes, including conducting e-auctions as needed. Conduct, analyze and perform cost break down analysis to support negotiations, to result in best overall cost and commercial terms.
  • Provide support to manufacturing locations for supplier performance issues related to quality and delivery.
  • Deliver measurable and auditable results in policy deployment targets and key performance indicators.
  • Stay up to date with regulatory requirements.

The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management.
  • BS degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Financial acumen and demonstrated aptitude in analytics and decision-making.
  • Ability to travel when required.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $105,000 - $115,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
