Job description

If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and want a career where you'll learn how major real estate investment decisions are made, this opportunity was built for you.
Based in Hanover's Houston corporate office, this full-time Real Estate Analyst position is part of Hanover's Capital Markets team, where you'll work alongside a small, highly collaborative group of experienced professionals evaluating new multifamily and industrial development opportunities across the country. Our team raises more than $1.5 billion in capital annually to fund this growth, giving you direct exposure to how institutional equity and debt partners evaluate and structure real estate investments at scale. This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent college graduate to gain firsthand exposure to market analysis, investment strategy, and the development process while building the foundation for a long-term career in commercial real estate.
This isn't a role where every day looks the same. One day you may be researching a new market, another day touring a development site, preparing presentations for senior leadership, or helping evaluate Hanover's next investment opportunity. You'll quickly discover that curiosity, critical thinking, and strong research skills are just as important as technical knowledge.
Hanover is one of the nation's leading privately held multifamily and industrial developers, builders, and property managers. Because we're vertically integrated, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the real estate lifecycle - from identifying opportunities and evaluating markets to development, construction, operations, and long-term
ownership.
Why Hanover?
  • Work alongside experienced leaders in a collaborative, high-performing team
  • Learn how new real estate developments are evaluated from concept to investment decision
  • Gain exposure to market research, development strategy, and executive decision-making
  • Meaningful responsibility from day one - not years down the road
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where ideas and initiative are valued
  • Company-paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability coverage for employees, including generous paid time off programs
  • Competitive compensation and bonus program that rewards performance and contribution

The people who thrive in this role are naturally inquisitive. They ask "why" before accepting an answer. They enjoy researching unfamiliar topics, connecting information from different sources, and solving problems that don't always have obvious solutions. They take initiative, enjoy working independently, and are energized by being part of a small team where everyone's contributions matter.
You don't need prior commercial real estate experience to be successful here. We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, asks thoughtful questions, and isn't satisfied with surface-level answers. If you're excited by the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and build a career in commercial real estate, you'll fit right in.
Responsibilities Include
  • Assess market fundamentals and the feasibility of new multifamily and industrial development opportunities
  • Research and analyze rental rates, comparable property sales, market trends, and future development activity
  • Learn to evaluate and underwrite new development opportunities using Hanover's proprietary financial models
  • Participate in market tours, product tours, and industry conferences to better understand local markets and emerging trends
  • Prepare presentations and marketing materials supported by research and analysis
  • Assist in managing Hanover's relationships with institutional equity and debt partners
  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings and collaborate with leaders across the organization on investment opportunities
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Genuine interest in commercial real estate and a desire to build a career in the industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think independently and take initiative
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and creative-thinking abilities
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
