Job description

LSEG's Evaluated Pricing Service provides end-of-day valuations across global CLO markets. We are seeking an expert Senior Evaluator to own the valuation and market analysis of CLO securities across the capital structure, including debt tranches and equity positions where applicable.

The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of leveraged loan and CLO markets, strong analytical capabilities, and experience pricing CLO Mezz debt and equity, using market color, BWIC activity, dealer runs, secondary trading data, and cash flow analytics to generate high-quality evaluations. The role requires active engagement with clients to maintain valuation accuracy, defend pricing methodologies, and support ongoing product development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce timely, accurate, and independent daily valuations across CLO capital structures globally.
  • Apply consistent valuation methodologies using observable market inputs, contributed curves, BWIC results, dealer quotations, secondary trading activity, cash flow modeling, and relevant market news.
  • Analyze market trends, spread movements, liquidity conditions, and structural characteristics impacting CLO valuations.
  • Evaluate new issue transactions and secondary market developments to ensure current market representation within pricing models.
  • Exercise independent judgment when assessing thinly traded or less liquid securities while maintaining valuation transparency and defensibility.

Quality Control & Governance

  • Perform comprehensive quality control reviews and exception analysis to ensure evaluation consistency and completeness.
  • Investigate pricing anomalies, market movements, and valuation outliers across assigned sectors.
  • Validate and challenge contributed market data to ensure compliance with LSEG valuation governance standards and methodologies.
  • Support periodic methodology reviews and contribute to improvements of valuation frameworks.

Leadership & Development

  • Mentor junior evaluators and provide technical guidance on CLO structures, valuation methodologies, and market developments.
  • Contribute to operational improvements, automation initiatives, and analytical tool improvements.
  • Support strategic projects and cross-functional initiatives within the Securitized Products team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in CLO valuation, CLO analytics, structured products, credit research, trading, or related securitized products functions.
  • Strong understanding of CLO structures, waterfall mechanics, collateral performance, reinvestment periods, and structural triggers.
  • Extensive experience using Intex, interlink and other structured finance analytical tools.
  • Deep knowledge of leveraged loan markets and CLO debt tranches across the capital structure.
  • Strong understanding of valuation methodologies for performing and distressed CLO securities.
  • Outstanding quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex valuation concepts to internal and external partners.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment with daily production deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with evaluated pricing, independent valuation, portfolio valuation, or risk management environments.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and European CLO markets.
  • Programming experience using Python, SQL, VBA, or data analytics tools.
  • Experience working with large financial datasets and valuation model development.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

LSEG is committed to offering competitive Compensation and Benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $151,000 - $251,600.Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP/"bonus plan"). Target AIP rates will be commensurate with role level and posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience.
