The Clinical Engineering Service Coordinator works within the Clinical Engineering Department to assist with activities related to the service and management of the medical equipment. This role may include performing activities such as facilitating procurement requisitions, coordination of technician assignments to align with the highest priority requests, equipment and work order related data entry and analysis within the medical equipment database, compiling and submitting various reports, direct communication with vendors and customers, and service dispatch activities. For all tasks, there will be emphasis on high quality and contributing to the department's efforts toward cost effective management of the medical equipment. The Clinical Engineering Service Coordinator may work within any assigned area(s) of Franciscan Health and at other locations supported by the Clinical Engineering Department, providing assistance to other members of the department as requested by Clinical Engineering management.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Equipment Accept requests for equipment service via phone or on-line system, begin documentation in database, route to appropriate service person, then follow up as needed.
  • Inventory Add/remove inventory, update equipment information and produce reports within the medical equipment database.
  • Inspections Coordinate service response for inspections, repairs and general technical support functions as requested by the customer and as prioritized by Clinical Engineering management.
  • Schedules Follows-up on problems/complaints. Insures that inventory, ordering, receiving, distribution/storage, policies, procedures and schedules are executed.
  • Supplies and Stock Order supplies/stock items and produce requisitions for parts and service, including management of the Emergency Purchase Order process and tracking of all service costs charged to the corporate cost center
  • Customer Service Assist other members of the Clinical Engineering department with coordinating service activities, customer support and/or vendor interactions.
  • Resolutions Advise and inform Clinical Engineering management of any situations that may need escalated for appropriate resolution or intervention
  • Documents Prepare, file and/or route documents to support the function of the Clinical Engineering department (service reports, invoices, equipment forms, etc.) and perform related administrative activities
  • Point of Contact Serve as a central point of contact for the Clinical Engineering department during emergency situations, to relay messages and track activities of team members.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred Associate's Degree Business, Communications, Electronics, IT/Networking or technology related field
  • Preferred Certificate Business, Communications, Electronics, IT/Networking or technology related field
  • Required High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Service Coordination Role or Technology Related Internship Preferred
