To thrive as an intern in a ceramics studio, you need basic knowledge of ceramic techniques, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, often supported by coursework or hands-on experience in art or ceramics. Familiarity with studio tools and equipment such as kilns, pottery wheels, glazing materials, and possibly digital design software is highly valuable.
