Job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Network Administrator to support enterprise network infrastructure for the Transportation Operations Center. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, LAN/WAN administration, routing and switching, network security, and infrastructure support. This role involves configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise network environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing network services.

This opportunity is based in Richmond, VA. The job is open to candidates within a 100-mile radius of Richmond, VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Internet infrastructure.

  • Configure and maintain Cisco routing, switching, VLANs, and routing protocols.

  • Monitor network performance, availability, and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

  • Support network security initiatives, threat mitigation, and cybersecurity best practices.

  • Configure and deploy network hardware, software, and communications infrastructure.

  • Maintain network documentation, inventory, architecture diagrams, and change records.

  • Support network integrations, infrastructure enhancements, and capacity planning.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure, field support, and security teams on enterprise projects.

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 network support and technical guidance.
