Job description

Description

This is an 8-10 week seasonal part-time internship that will run from mid-June through mid-August, working roughly 20 hours per week.

Job Description

Are you a current college student aspiring to work in the field of communications and marketing? Are you interested in taking your social media storytelling to the next level? If your muse is beautifully designed spaces, compelling stories, emerging technology, and creative content that sparks connection, do not sleep on this internship opportunity.

The Doran Group is seeking a highly creative, curious, and self-motivated Digital Storytelling, Content & AI Innovation Intern to help elevate our corporate brand and portfolio of luxury apartment communities.

Working directly with The Doran Group's Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, this individual will play a key role in helping build the next generation of our social media and content marketing program. The selected candidate will help create compelling visual content, uncover meaningful stories throughout our organization, and explore how emerging technologies and AI-assisted tools can help us scale content creation across our portfolio.

This is not a traditional marketing internship. We are looking for someone who embraces innovation, enjoys experimenting with new tools and technologies, and is excited by the opportunity to help build repeatable content systems that support a growing real estate organization.

Responsibilities

Create engaging, on-brand photo and video content for The Doran Group's corporate and property-specific social media platforms.

Capture original content at luxury apartment communities throughout our portfolio (and neighborhoods), highlighting amenities, design features, team members, neighborhood experiences, and the lifestyle that is Crafted for Living.

Help develop and maintain annual content calendars that support corporate and community marketing initiatives.

Research emerging social media trends, content formats, AI-powered tools, and digital marketing technologies that can improve content creation, planning, and audience engagement.

Help build repeatable, AI-assisted content workflows that transform existing content assets and newly captured content into scalable social media programs.

Organize and maintain a growing library of photography, video assets, content ideas, and creative resources that can be leveraged across multiple marketing channels.

Leverage the expertise and insights of onsite team members to uncover authentic stories, unique resident experiences, and community highlights.

Analyze content performance and provide recommendations for improving engagement, reach, and overall effectiveness.

Complete an independent project that supports company objectives while aligning with your professional interests and career goals.

Requirements

Requirements

Excellent academic record in undergraduate studies to date.

Relevant coursework in marketing, communications, journalism, digital media, business, public relations, graphic design, or related fields.

Strong interest in emerging technology, AI-assisted content creation, digital marketing, and social media strategy.

Experience using video editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar platforms.

Excellent punctuation, spelling, grammar, and communication skills.

Curiosity, creativity, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Access to a smartphone capable of capturing high-quality photo and video content.

Candidates must be able to work in the United States for an indefinite period without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing personal, student organization, creator, or business social media accounts.

Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms.

Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools, automation platforms, or digital workflow technologies.

Photography, videography, graphic design, or content portfolio samples.

Additional Program Information

Competitive compensation: $20 per hour

Why This Internship Is Different

Unlike many marketing internships, this role offers direct mentorship from executive leadership and the opportunity to help shape content strategy across an entire portfolio of luxury residential communities.

The ideal candidate will leave the summer having helped create not only great content, but also the systems, workflows, and ideas that will support The Doran Group's marketing efforts long after the internship concludes.
