Job description

SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Imaging Systems Engineer for its client in West Michigan Area. This individual will contribute to the development and improvement of vision products by creating and executing tests and data collection to define changes that enhance image quality across various product lines. The Camera Tuning Engineer will develop a deep understanding of image signal processing pipelines, fine-tune those pipelines for optimal results, and collaborate across engineering and stakeholder teams to meet the unique image quality needs of diverse product use cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build hands-on expertise across multiple ISP pipeline architectures and the toolsets that support them.
  • Adjust and optimize ISP pipeline parameters to deliver high-quality imaging output across product lines.
  • Work closely with Software Engineering teams to define, review, and integrate pipeline modifications.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand and address image quality requirements unique to each product use case.
  • Gather and analyze image data, blending quantitative metrics with perceptual assessments to inform quality improvement decisions.
  • Serve as a point of contact with ISP vendors when image quality issues require external escalation.
  • Design and run both scripted and hands-on test procedures to validate imaging performance.
  • Assist in resolving image quality concerns raised through customer programs and field feedback.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in image quality evaluation or analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in scripting and data analysis using Python and/or MATLAB.
  • Background in photography or videography, with working knowledge of camera systems and controls.
  • Familiarity with source code management platforms such as GitHub or similar tools.
  • Experience with image processing pipelines.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across both hardware and software components.
  • Strong analytical mindset with a track record of creative, effective problem-solving.
  • Comfortable working within the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Background in Automotive, Aerospace, Fire Protection, or a similar industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with signal processing concepts and working with time-series datasets is a plus.
  • Exposure to Linux environments, software development lifecycle practices, and agile workflows is a plus.
  • Experience with embedded systems, including hardware and software integration, is a plus.
