Position Summary:
The Logistics and Optimization Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing fuel logistics, transportation costs, and third-party carrier performance. The role provides data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency, automate business processes, and support strategic supply chain decisions across the Petroleum Operations organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Process freight invoices - automate the process
2. Manage third-party freight haulers
3. Manage supply allocations in line with freight schedules
4. Identify freight and supply optimization opportunities
5. Provide strong analytical support for modeling logistics requirements
6. Familiarity with fuel pricing structures, taxes and surcharges is a plus
7. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Working Relationships: Works closely with the Fuel Supply, Pricing, and Dispatch teams, and regularly interacts with third-party freight haulers, fuel suppliers, and logistics partners.
Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma
Preferred Education: College degree - preferably in business operations, logistics, or finance
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, analytics, or a related field. Relevant internships, coursework, or equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or analytics. Advanced Excel skills
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities

Travel:Ability to travel independently __0__%. Must have clean driving record.
Hours & Conditions: Monday - Friday 8 hour day in office setting
Physical Requirements:Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
