Role Overview
The
Production Planning / BOM Specialist is responsible for comprehensive production planning, production performance analysis, BOM (Bill of Materials) management, and Engineering Order (EO) control. This role serves as a key liaison between MOBIS North America Electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe), customers, and internal departments to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, accurate system data, timely production execution, and successful implementation of engineering changes. The position supports plant operations through SAP and MES system management, production reporting, inventory accuracy, and continuous process improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Production Planning & Control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer (HMGMA) production planning and schedule changes.
- Coordinate production plan adjustments to support customer demand and plant operations.
- Maintain and monitor EDI, MES, and production planning systems to ensure data accuracy and continuity.
- Track, analyze, and report key production performance metrics and plant KPIs.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc production performance reports.
- Support requests from Korea Headquarters and participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
BOM & Engineering Change Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for engineering changes, BOM updates, and customer change requests.
- Manage SAP Material Master data, production BOMs, and related ERP/MES system information.
- Monitor and implement Engineering Orders (EOs) and coordinate changes across departments.
- Track material usage, inventory accuracy, obsolescence, and engineering change impacts.
- Maintain and distribute master parts lists and engineering change documentation.
- Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to support system enhancements and process improvements.
AUTHORITY & SCOPE This role operates within defined corporate policies and procedures and exercises judgment appropriate to its level of responsibility. The position may influence decisions related to functional operations, processes, or recommendations and escalate matters as required

Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or related field)
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to support production planning and operational decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
- Willingness to learn ERP/MRP systems such as SAP and MES
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities::
- Internship, co-op, or project experience in manufacturing, supply chain, production planning, or engineering
- Exposure to ERP, MRP, SAP, MES, or similar business systems
- Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and engineering change processes
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement principles
- Experience working with large data sets and reporting tools
- Automotive manufacturing experience through internships, projects, or coursework
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Korean language skills are a plus but not required

- Office setting, some walking within and between buildings
