Job description

Blue Ridge Equine Clinic is excited to offer a comprehensive internship opportunity for motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented veterinary graduates who are eager to deepen their clinical skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Located in the heart of Virginia's horse country, our practice provides both ambulatory and hospital-based services, allowing interns to experience a well-rounded caseload that includes sport horses, pleasure horses, and everything in between.

Interns at Blue Ridge Equine Clinic can expect:

  • Mentorship and Collaboration: Work closely with our team of experienced equine veterinarians who are committed to teaching and fostering professional growth.

  • Hands-On Experience: Assist and lead in a wide variety of cases, including lameness evaluations, emergency care, reproduction, internal medicine, and surgical procedures.

  • Skill Development: Strengthen your diagnostic, client communication, and technical skills in a high-quality, fast-paced practice.

  • Balanced Learning: Enjoy a structured schedule with on-call rotations that encourage both autonomy and support.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required.

  • Compassionate, team-oriented approach.

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs.

  • Valid Driver's License
