Award-Winning 50-person distinguished architectural practice is actively seeking a BIM Manager to join their growing studio. This position can be base out of their Newport Beach, Solana Beach, Ontario, or Walnut Creek studio. The firm possesses expertise in programming, planning, design, and management services, primarily catering to Educational Facilities for over three decades. With offices located in Orange County, San Diego, and East Bay, this firm boasts a wealth of professional knowledge, talent, and personalized commitment to their clients. The studios embrace hybrid work arrangements and prioritize the professional development and growth of their designers, architects, and managers.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of educational spaces while advancing your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The firm currently utilizes Revit technologies and minimal CAD for its project work. They are actively pursuing a strategic transition to fully adopt Revit across all their operations. To achieve this goal, they are committed to enhancing their staff's proficiency through comprehensive training programs, aiming to leverage Revit's advanced capabilities to improve their design processes and project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce BIM strategies, execution plans, standards, and workflows across the firm
  • Manage and coordinate BIM activities across multiple projects, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to firm-wide modeling and information standards
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and updating of BIM libraries, templates, families, and documentation
  • Provide training, technical support, and troubleshooting for staff on BIM software and best practices, both individually and in group settings
  • Evaluate, implement, and customize new BIM software and technologies to improve efficiency and capabilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective use of BIM technology and maintain continuity of information across multiple applications
  • Generate reports on BIM progress and efficiency for senior management
  • Interface with external support resources and handle product testing

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in architectural design and BIM/CAD management
  • Expert proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong knowledge of BIM processes and industry standards
  • Experience managing BIM/CAD teams and projects
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino)
