Brandywine Counseling and Community Services and seeking an Assessment Counselor for our Probation and Parole program!
Substance Use Disorder Assessment Counselor
Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. With integrity, we promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental health, substance use, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.
The Assessor's primary responsibilities include:
  • Conduct TCU Assessments and Mental Health evaluations.
  • Facilitate TCU groups.
  • Provide progress updates and provide referrals to treatment.
  • Will be trained in utilizing the evidence-based screening and assessment instruments developed by the TCU Institute of Behavioral Research (TCU-IBR).
  • Will utilize the following evidenced based practices: Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care.
  • Is responsible for making appropriate recommendations and referrals to one of three paths.
  • Is responsible for communicating assessment recommendation with probationers' Probation Officers within five (5) business days.
  • Will receive training in TMEC and utilized the practice in its P&P group-based education and treatment course.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • REQUIRED: Bachelors in behavioral science or related field
  • REQUIRED: 2 years' experience in Substance Abuse/Addiction and/or Mental Health
  • REQUIRED: Must be eligible for DOC clearance
  • REQUIRED: Valid Driver's License w/ 2 Points or Less

Schedule:
  • Monday - Friday
  • 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Pay:
  • From $21/hour
  • Commensurate with experience, education, and certification
