Job description

The Head Baseball Coach for Aurora Public Schools AdamsArapahoe 28J will direct all aspects of the high school baseball program within the HinkleyAthletics department. This exempt position is responsible for planning and executing daily practices, coordinating game schedules, preparing max preps, conducting team meetings, and fostering a competitive, supportive environment that promotes academic and athletic excellence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Sports Management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Valid coaching certification and current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of head coaching experience at the high school level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of baseball rules, strategies, and player development techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage youth athletes and foster academic accountability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required by the season schedule.
  • Clear background check and eligibility to work in Colorado public schools.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software, video analysis tools, and basic office applications.
  • Commitment to the district's mission of equity, inclusion, and student success.
  • Design and implement daily practice plans that develop skill, conditioning, and teamwork.
  • Schedule, organize, and supervise all games, tournaments, and travel logistics.
  • Prepare and manage max preps, ensuring compliance with district and state regulations.
