Job Summary:
Bank of America is a leading financial institution that invests significantly in technology and cybersecurity. The Global Technology Summer Analyst Program offers a unique opportunity for interns to gain exposure to real-time business-critical needs while working on innovative technology solutions in cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
• Providing analytical, strategic, and technical skills to design, develop, implement, and use state-of-the-art technology cybersecurity solutions aimed at reducing risk
• Being responsible for delivering innovative capabilities in team environment, as well as leveraging skills, background, and interests for a specific group within Bank of America
• Responding to, researching, measuring, detecting, and mitigating security attacks that attempt to compromise at the network and application layers
• Working on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors
• Being responsible for global incident management and event management processes
• Supporting to produce metrics to track remediation activities
• Supporting aspects of Information Security including the development of strategy and policy; vulnerability identification and management; monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity incidents
Qualifications:
Required:
• Considered candidates are required to be pursuing an undergraduate or master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Eligible candidates must have a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028.
• Degree Type: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree
• Considered candidates should be in their penultimate year of school
• Masters candidates should not have more than 0 years of experience
• Major/Course of Study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or similar degree of relevance
• Fundamental knowledge and understanding of programming languages, data visualization tools, application frameworks, distributed systems and databases
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, including various work assignments and changing priorities
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to influence both vertically and horizontally
• Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and a team attitude
• Distinguished written and oral communications skills
• Candidates should possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, a drive for excellence, and a commitment to achieving sustainable results.
• Additionally, students should hold strong academic and technical skills in Microsoft Office as well as show proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving, analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism
Preferred:
• GPA: 3.5 minimum GPA preferred
• Coursework in Cybersecurity, Networking, Information Systems, and/or Programming
• Knowledge of industry trends and current threat landscape
• Interest in working in a global team of industry leading cybersecurity experts across multiple cyber domains
• Practical understanding of core cyber security principles
• Display clear motivation for exploring a cyber security, technology career within financial services
• Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people
• Display evidence of strong teamwork, leadership, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
