About The Role Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Field Support Engineer to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. Work is performed at the customer site(s). Responsibilities: * Provide expert and second-tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians. * Provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, or enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems. * Test, train, and field support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services. * Provide expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoot products, and modify products to customer requirements. * Maintain network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time to Repair. * Provide training to customers. * Partner with developers and engineers to reduce reoccurring incidents. * Answer questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services. * Review and develop technical documents.

**Position is Contingent on Contract Award** Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
* Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass and obtain a Poly clearance. * Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with bachelor's degree; Minimum of 6 years with master's degree; Minimum of 3 years with PhD or 12+ years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of a degree. * Current CISSP or Security + Certification. * Systems Administration of Windows Server and Operating system, Unix, or Linux and/or database skillset. * Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including Windows Server and Operating system, Unix or Linux and databases (e.g., Windows 10/11, Server 2016/2019, RedHat 7.x/8.x/9.x Operating Systems, SQL; PowerShell, and Office; Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory.) * General knowledge of networking. * Possess good oral and written skills. Desired Qualifications:
* Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance. * Current VMware, Nutanix, or similar Certification e.g. VCP, NCP, etc. * Strong background in server virtualization e.g. VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, Harvester, Proxmox, MS Hyper-V, Citrix, Azure, AWS, etc. * Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. * Experience with Terraform or Ansible. * Experience with Dell PowerFlex. * Experience working in a large enterprise environment. * Knowledge of storage area networks to include network operating systems, SAN protocols, SAN management, and SAN physical configuration. * Computing Environment compliance. Security Clearance: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. Details Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
