Job Description:
Provide engineering project support in areas such as computer automation and creating customized applications. Support the Diffusion area to maintain excellent process monitoring and control while continuing to develop new products and support production and training needs.
Responsibilities
  • Daily activities include working with process engineers to complete projects critical to our production and quality goals.
  • Assist in the generation of new process specifications.
  • Operate diverse metrology tools to measure resistivities, thicknesses, breakdown voltages, bow/warp, charge, and surface defects.
  • Utilize SPC charts to monitor processes and respond to process shifts.
  • Must be able to work with minimal oversight and be able obtain quick meaningful progress independently.

Position
Internship, hours are flexible. Ideal student will be able to work beyond the summer.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Desired Skills
  • Good problem solving track record.
  • Ability to learn and develop expertise in new software applications specific to Microchip manufacturing, automation, and control systems.
  • Must be able to work in a clean room environment.

Education
Currently enrolled in a four-year or graduate program in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or Physics.
Must be local to the area for the duration of the internship.
