We are looking for a technically inclined (preferably with a degree in engineering) Account Executive who will focus on driving new business while growing existing accounts. This role is responsible for identifying and developing strategic customer relationships with a focus on selling critical workplace solutions. The goal of the Account Executive is to be well-networked with electrical contractors and other construction stakeholders such as General Contractors, Construction Managers, Architects, Engineers, and Technology Consultants.

What you'll do:

  • Promote and sell EnvelopiQ solutions by developing and maintaining viable long-term relationships with contractors, building owners, and consulting engineers.
  • Work with building owners to develop turnkey solutions across all EnvelopiQ offerings, with a focus on environmental control and developing energy and optimization strategies.
  • Build opportunities from existing accounts and increase "pull through" opportunities.
  • Review and develop strategic service options and proposals centered around customer needs in the areas of life safety and inspection services, video surveillance and electronic access control, audio/visual systems, and professional sound and intercom.
  • Maintain customer records in Salesforce, such as service agreement, quoted service, and contracting proposals, both signed and proposed.
  • Attend trade shows and professional association meetings that current and potential customers are affiliated with. Host and plan customer events.
  • Create estimate proposals using EnvelopiQ estimating tools.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Required skills, experience, and knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience in a similar field.
  • 2+ years of relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Experience building network of business relationships to create sales opportunities.
  • Ability to clearly explain the impact, value, and steps required to execute complex technical concepts.
  • Experience or interest in the automation and controls systems of HVAC systems, life safety systems, audio/visual systems, or professional sound and lighting systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit and Bluebeam
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to react to change as a positive challenge and translate into opportunities.
  • Demonstrated competency in creating presentations and ability to confidently present and interact with all levels of the organization. Have strong oral and written communication along with interpersonal skills maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Competitive nature and a strong desire to win.
  • Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education.
  • Travel to customer job sites is required, which may include outdoor work and/or work in mechanical/equipment rooms. During site visits, the employee may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, and other variable environmental conditions.
