Job Summary:
Apolis is working on Project Kuiper, an initiative aimed at increasing global broadband access through a satellite constellation. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain components and services for the Customer eCommerce Services related to this project.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design and Implement Communications Components, Applications and Services
โ€ข Partner with the Satellite, Networks and Security engineering teams
โ€ข Design components, services, and relevant data models
โ€ข Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical e-Commerce software for Kuiper.
โ€ข Work on initiatives building e-Commerce functions on AWS infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development.
โ€ข Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems.
โ€ข Help engineers and build solutions which are required for provisioning and operating an Internet service providers.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
โ€ข 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
โ€ข Experience programming with at least one software programming language
โ€ข Experience managing Java based SDKs, AWS based development, API design, JSON
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience integrating Financial Application and Accounting solutions (e.g. Oracle)
โ€ข 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
