What is an internship at AWS?

An Internship at AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a temporary position for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience working with cloud computing technologies and services. Interns at AWS work on real-world projects alongside experienced professionals, contributing to innovative solutions and learning about the latest advancements in cloud infrastructure, software development, and operations. These internships are typically offered in areas such as software engineering, solutions architecture, product management, and business analysis. The goal is to provide valuable industry exposure and professional development opportunities, often leading to future full-time roles within Amazon.

AWS interns usually work on real-world projects that contribute directly to their team's objectives, such as developing new features, improving cloud infrastructure, or optimizing internal tools. Interns are expected to collaborate with experienced engineers and participate in team meetings, code reviews, and sprint planning. The work often has a tangible impact, with many interns seeing their contributions implemented in live products or services. This hands-on experience provides valuable insight into AWS's fast-paced, innovative environment and can be a strong foundation for full-time opportunities.
