Working Hours:
    8 hours per day (Exact daily hours to be determined by supervisor)
Salary Range: 
    $29,911 - $45,983 (Grant Funded)
Head Start Teacher Application Requirements

  • Letter of Interest

  • Copy of official transcript verifying a valid South Carolina Early Childhood teacher certification; Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education; or Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in any subject including coursework equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education; Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program; or Associate degree in a related field and course work equivalent to a major relating to Early Childhood Education and enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with experience teaching preschool age children. Bilingual in English and preferably Spanish desired.
  • Negative TB test results under 1 year old.  BCSD strongly encourages all applicants to upload their TB test results.  If the applicant has not completed the test, he/she will be required to upload a word document acknowledging that the results will be uploaded as soon as the test is completed.  Please Note: A delay in submitting TB test results will postpone the onboarding process. (If selected for a position)
