Job Title: 5th Grade Math Teacher
School Year: 2026-2027
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 5th Grade Math Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of upper elementary math curriculum standards, foster curiosity and critical thinking, and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans that promote mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, tools, and technologies to meet diverse learning styles and student needs.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain clear expectations for behavior, academic performance, and classroom routines.
  • Effectively manage classroom dynamics and provide proactive support to ensure student success.
  • Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including quizzes, tests, projects, and informal assessments.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and communicate progress with families.
  • Use assessment data to adjust instruction and support continuous student growth.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom activities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications
