Help prepare the next generation of nurses while making a meaningful impact on students, healthcare, and the community. North Idaho College is seeking an Assistant Professor of Associate Degree Nursing to join a collaborative and student-centered program dedicated to excellence in nursing education.

In this role, you will teach and mentor nursing students in classroom, laboratory, clinical, and online learning environments. You will provide clinical instruction and supervision, guide students through academic and professional development, and help them build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for successful nursing careers. Faculty members play an active role in curriculum development, assessment of student learning, program evaluation, and continuous improvement to ensure graduates are prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare field.

Beyond teaching, you will serve as an academic advisor, helping students navigate program requirements, progression, and success strategies. You will collaborate with colleagues, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders while contributing to recruitment efforts, committee work, and other college initiatives that support student success and program excellence.

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about nursing, committed to student learning, and able to communicate effectively in a variety of instructional settings. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with technology and learning platforms, adaptability, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining current knowledge of nursing practice and evidence-based instruction.

Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing; professional and/or teaching experience in nursing; recent medical/surgical clinical experience (within the last three years) is required. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.

Required License and/or Certifications:
Must possess or be able to obtain an unencumbered Idaho Multi-State Nursing License or Washington Multi-State Nursing License.
Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance.

North Idaho College does not have a vaccine requirement. However, many of our nursing and health professions, are subject to federal or local hospital vaccine requirements. 

Starting pay range: $72,630 - $88,824

Work Schedule: This tenure track position generally has summers off, with pay and benefits spread over 12 months!
