Job description

Position : Assist Manufacturing Engineer
Location : Tempe, AZ
Duration : 6 months contract
Timings : 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Total Hours/week : 40.00[Mon-Fri]
Description:
General Purpose Summary:
Assist Manufacturing Engineers as required to ensure Manufacturing production problems are avoided or addressed and new product processes and/or equipment are introduced.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and repair of production equipment and tooling.
  • Oversee the ordering and replacement of production tooling and equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret production machine outputs to databases
  • Train production operators in proper use of production equipment and tooling.
  • Write Engineering Request Forms/specifications to enable special processing of products.
  • Train operators on new processing techniques.
  • Write Engineering Change Orders to implement new processes, product or procedures.
  • Assist engineers in carrying out studies, evaluations and formal qualifications.
  • Follow all company guidelines and requirements.

Basic Skills/Competencies Required:
  • Proficient in math (basic algebra).
  • Proficient in technical writing (report writing).
  • Proficient in use of computer software (spreadsheets, word processor).
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Basic aptitude for database operation and maintenance

Education Required:
  • High school Diploma/ GED
  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent training (Preferred)

Experience Required:
  • Electronics experience and/or equivalent training with low voltage and high voltage systems
  • Clean Room experiences a plus.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
