Job description

Project SEARCH Skills Trainer 32.50 hours a week

Represent the internationally recognized work readiness program, Project SEARCH. A Skills Trainer works with a dynamic team of professionals to provide on-site support to interns helping them gain skill acquisition and providing support with learning necessary skills to prepare for employment. Assist interns with developing resumes, identifying potential job opportunities, and preparing for interviews.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provision of job skills training to student interns throughout internship rotations
  • Assistance with curriculum instruction
  • Collect and analyze data on intern performance. Share information with interns, mentors and team
  • Completion of progress note documentation as required by stakeholders
  • Provide job coaching to student interns, develop task lists and worksite accommodations/modifications as needed
  • Assess intern skill set, support interns with job search, application completion, interview preparation and coaching once employment secured
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and report progress to Project SEARCH Manager

Bachelorโ€™s / Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, networking and/or sales experience helpful, driverโ€™s license, computer literacy
