POSITION SUMMARY:

The Internship/Practicum Intern provides support to daily operations and departmental projects while gaining hands-on professional experience. This role is designed to help students develop workplace skills, observe organizational functions, and meaningfully contribute to team goals. Interns participate in learning activities, assist with administrative tasks, and collaborate with staff to support the mission and operations of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with documentation, data entry, and maintaining organized records.

• Support staff in preparing reports, presentations, and communications.

• Participate in projects related to academic or professional interests.

• Provide general administrative support, including scheduling and preparing materials.

• Conduct research and compile resources for departmental initiatives.

• Observe and shadow staff to learn about roles and workflows.

• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and workshops.

• Contribute ideas and assist with process improvements.

• Engage in assigned learning activities and apply feedback to strengthen skills.

• Collaborate with team members to support organizational goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTATIONS:

• Ability to sit for periods of time and work on a computer.

• May require light lifting up to 20 lbs.

• Requires visual ability to read documents and view computer screens.
