Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMDB & IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to manage and improve the accuracy, governance, and maturity of enterprise Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Asset Management processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, ITAM, HAM, SAM, Configuration Item (CI) management, asset lifecycle management, data reconciliation, and ITIL best practices. This role will collaborate with infrastructure, procurement, and IT service management teams to ensure high-quality asset data, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring Configuration Items (CIs) and relationships remain accurate and up to date
  • Manage hardware and software asset lifecycle processes from procurement through retirement
  • Monitor CMDB health and proactively resolve data quality, duplication, and reconciliation issues
  • Perform asset reconciliation and ensure consistency between discovery tools, procurement records, and the CMDB
  • Support CMDB governance initiatives, data standards, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, procurement, service management, and operations teams to improve asset visibility and data integrity
  • Generate compliance reports, dashboards, and operational metrics related to CMDB and IT asset management
  • Support audits by maintaining accurate asset inventories and configuration records
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance CMDB maturity and ITAM capabilities
  • Develop and maintain documentation for CMDB governance, asset management processes, and operational procedures
  • Support ServiceNow Discovery and other automated data collection tools to improve CMDB accuracy



Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM or ITAM
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and asset management environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
