POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a creative mid-level Designer to join our architecture team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is suited for someone with five or more years of experience who is interested in contributing to a diverse array of architecture projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary A/E environment.

Working alongside other architects, planners, engineers, and landscape architects, this position is actively involved in both planning efforts and site-specific designs, as well as the management and production of Contract Documents and technical documents for construction.

This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to act strategically, set and achieve goals, and create, communicate, implement, and manage design solutions. The ability to lead, manage and mentor personnel is paramount.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supporting the Architectural Department and project management staff in meeting its project responsibilities, schedules and goals
  • Providing sustainability-driven data and design options using various stand-alone programs and Revit plug-ins
  • Development of technical documentation for construction including drawings and specifications
  • Assist with field investigation site visits as requested
  • Limited construction administration, including RFI responses, submittal review and occasional field visits


QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited US college
  • Willingness to pursue Professional Registration as an Architect in the United States
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Architecture working in an Engineering or Architecture/Engineering design consulting firm with an emphasis on providing Architectural design services for buildings
  • Strong graphic and layout skills using Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Proficiency in developing construction drawings using Autodesk Revit
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong written communication skills, including report writing and document preparation
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple assignments
  • Ability to think critically and contribute to problem-solving efforts
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment with a multi-disciplinary team


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficiency in WUFI software
  • Proficiency in Sefeira software
  • Professional Registration as an Architect in the United States
  • LEED, WELL, or Phius accreditation
  • Strong architectural design and concept layout skills using Rhinoceros and Revit
