Job description

Residential Designed Solutions is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team.

Every client we meet has their own individual idea of what “home” means. It is our passion and privilege to help them visualize those dreams and turn them into thoughtfully designed, buildable reality.

Our Project Details play a critical role in bringing those visions to life. We are seeking an experienced and practical residential draftsperson/CAD technician who enjoys solving design challenges, understands construction, and takes pride in creating accurate, detailed documents that builders can confidently use.

Our firm is known for challenging and award-winning renovation and new single-family home design. We are looking for the right person to build on this foundation, contribute to our continued growth, and become part of our long-term success.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop and complete detailed residential construction documents for renovations and custom homes
  • Take projects from preliminary design through complete, accurate drawing sets
  • Add structural sizing information, sections, details, and construction notes
  • Work from concepts or partially completed plans and bring them through final documentation
  • Collaborate with builders, homeowners, architects, and designers to develop practical solutions within project budgets
  • Use 3D CAD modeling to support both design development and documentation
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, accuracy, schedules, and budgets
  • Review your own work carefully and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment

EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience detailing and completing residential plans and remodels
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and building details
  • Experience creating complete construction document sets
  • Productive 3D CAD user; Chief Architect experience preferred
  • Experience using AI rendering tools based on 3D models is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

WE OFFER:

  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Continuous educational opportunities and support for lifetime learning
  • Open Book Management, giving team members insight into and ownership of our success
  • Full benefits package, including retirement and profit sharing
  • Opportunities for growth, increased responsibility, and ownership participation

If your passion for design, craftsmanship, problem-solving, and helping people create exceptional homes matches ours, we would enjoy the opportunity to talk.

Please submit your resume along with examples of completed working documents or residential projects for consideration. Copyrights will be assumed and respected on all submitted materials.
