Job description

$40,300.00 - $66,250.00
Position Summary:
This position supports the core work of Bio-Techne's brands by contributing to the production and quality validation of antibodies in a commercial laboratory setting. Responsibilities include preparing animal serum and raw materials, executing antibody purification processes in accordance with SOPs, and performing routine Western blot analysis to ensure product quality.
The role will focus on protein manipulation and formulation, buffer preparation, and accurate documentation. Success in this fast-paced environment requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in standard laboratory techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members while managing multiple projects and contributing to product development initiatives.
Salary Range Based on Experience Level :
$40,300-$57,600
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare raw materials, including animal serum, using standard laboratory techniques such as dilution, centrifugation, and filtration.
  • Execute high-volume antibody purification processes in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet product release timelines.
  • Perform routine Western blot analyses to assess antibody performance against defined quality standards.
  • Apply protein handling and formulation techniques, including dialysis, dilution, and standard volume and mass calculations.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions while maintaining accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and achievement of team objectives in a fast-paced lab environment.
  • Support product line development and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Carry out additional laboratory and team-related tasks to support operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in scientific discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a lab setting in leu of a degree.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

  • Knowledge of general lab techniques.
  • Ability to handle repetitive complex tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to details and an ability to perform at a high-level accuracy.
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
