Job Summary

The Social Media Video & Content Intern supports the social media team by helping create engaging video and visual content for social platforms. This is a hands-on learning role for someone interested in social media, video, and digital storytelling.
The intern works closely with the Social Media team and other partners across the organization to support content planning, creation, and posting. They'll learn best practices for social media, video editing, and analytics while contributing to real campaigns that support the organization's mission.


Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program related to marketing, communications, media, design, or a similar field

  • Interest in social media, video, digital content, and healthcare communications

  • Basic experience with video editing tools or social platforms (class projects are great)

  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team


Social Media Support

  • Assist with daily social media activities across platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn

  • Help brainstorm and develop content ideas, especially short-form video

  • Support the creation and scheduling of social media posts

  • Help maintain a content calendar and keep projects organized

  • Monitor social media channels and flag trends, comments, or issues to the team

  • Assist with basic social media reporting and performance tracking

Video & Content Creation

  • Support video production by filming, editing, or organizing footage

  • Edit short social-first videos using basic video editing tools

  • Help adapt content for different social platforms

  • Assist with simple graphics or visual assets as needed

  • Occasionally help with on-site filming at local locations

Learning & Collaboration

  • Learn social media best practices, trends, and platform standards

Working Schedule:

  • Hybrid - may require local travel to Mass General Brigham sites for in-person meetings and/or video capture as needed. Requires reliable transportation for onsite requirements
