Job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
As a Principle Technical Program Manager you will own driving the execution, implementation, development, and test of Amazon Leo SW and tooling built to support it

The role will interface with the cross-functional engineering and program management teams to build the software and test infrastructure we own. Because of the scale of the mission, you will be focused on driving automation and operational excellence - identifying areas of improvement and initiating changes to improve the productivity of the fleet.
Key job responsibilities
- Work across the program to track cross-team dependencies, manage the operations schedule and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and create program structure to track system-level goals, software and procedure development and cross-functional dependencies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to create project plans and incremental milestones for Operations, Software, and test infrastructure development.
You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, able to work independently, juggle multiple tasks at once, and maintain professionalism under pressure

You should have deep knowledge software engineering practices, understand how software and hardware systems interact, and can drive design and implementation of operational execution of objectives in complex systems. Familiarity with space systems is desired.
