Commercial Leader Program – Therapeutics MBA Internship Description

As a Commercial Leader Program – Therapeutics MBA intern, you will work on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide. You will join an integrated brand teamfocused on marketing, combining technical knowledge, analytical strength, and creative problem solving.

AbbVie’s worldwide business offers you an opportunity to work in a variety of fields. All internship assignments are different and based on business need; however, below are some examples of past intern projects:

• Obtain an understanding of core marketing principles that lead up to a product launch, how marketing teams work cross-functionally with creative agencies, medical counterparts, and our precision medicines group to bring a product to market.
• Deliver a strategic and tactical plan for the therapeutic portfolio to defend against new competitors.
• Determine how the marketing and sales functions can cost effectively execute a customized regional or account-based approach that accelerates market share.
• Prepare for new product launch meeting by creating essential materials and training for the Field to effectively execute Patient Education Programs and use data-driven insights to optimize the website performance and play a critical role in launching the revised version of the launch product website.
• Research internal brands and external market to bring innovative recommendations for marketing strategies (i.e., new promotional and educational materials for key stakeholders, omni-channel marketing strategies).

Most interns will belocatedat our corporate headquarters inNorthChicago, Lake County, IL.However, someinternship opportunities mayresidein the following office locations. Please share your location preferences with your recruiter.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited MBA program,preferably with an emphasis on marketing, healthcareconsultingor general management
• Must be enrolled in an accreditedMBAprogram the semester following your internship and graduatebetween December 2027–June2028.
• At least 3 years of prior work experiencerequired.
• Willing to travel up to 15% during internship (U.S.based).

Preferred Qualifications

• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership potential.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understandingofthe Healthcare/Biotechnology industry is a plus.

AbbVie strongly considershighperforming interns as candidates for their Commercial Leader Program– Therapeutics(CLPT) after they graduate. AbbVie’s CLPTis a3-year rotational program with three separate work assignments. The rotations are carried out in a variety of functional areas such as:Brand Marketing, FieldSales, and Market Access.
