GTM Engineer

Home From College

Santa Monica, CA • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 8 days ago

Key responsibilities

  • Design and ship systems that drive revenue across marketing, sales, and customer success.

  • Build and maintain platform and internal tools such as data layers, agent platforms, Slack bots, dashboards, and scripts.

  • Implement and optimize GTM processes including AI lead scoring, outreach sequences, CRM hygiene, proposal generation, website updates, email campaigns, lead enrichment, and analytics.

Job description

Company Overview

Home From College (H\FC) is a marketplace that connects college students with brands offering paid GIGs, internships, and early-career opportunities. For students, we're often the first real bridge between college and the working world. For brands, we're how they reach a generation that's hard to reach anywhere else.

We're in full growth mode, focused on getting the H\FC App into the hands of every college student in the country and turning first-time users into repeat GIG completers. The growth decisions made now will define our trajectory, and we're building the team to make them.

The Role

We’re looking for a technical growth builder to help design and ship the systems that drive revenue across marketing, sales, and customer success — someone who codes like an engineer but thinks like an operator. This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role with a direct line from what you build → revenue. You’ll be the technical force multiplier behind the entire GTM engine.

What You'll Do

Platform & Internal Tools

  • GTM data layer — clean model of accounts, contacts, students, GIGs, and revenue across HubSpot, Stripe, and Database.

  • Agent platform — shared prompts, tools, evals, observability, and cost controls.

  • Internal tools — Slack bots, dashboards, and scripts that compress hours into minutes.

Sales

  • AI lead scoring — score leads on firmographics, product usage, and engagement; route to the right rep.

  • Outreach agents — personalized sequences with research, drafting, and reply-aware follow-ups.

  • CRM hygiene & enrichment — dedupe, ICP fit, ownership, and routing in HubSpot.

  • MQL models — turn product signals into pipeline triggers.

  • Proposal & forecasting — auto-generated proposals; pipeline and velocity dashboards.

Marketing

  • Update the website — ship pages from wireframes (frontend) and own the backend logic, forms, and integrations. Help stand up a CMS so the team can edit without filing tickets.

  • Run the email program — build and update Mailchimp / Klaviyo campaigns, lifecycle flows, and segmentation.

  • Lead research agents — enrich inbound leads and prospect target accounts automatically (Clay or similar a plus).

  • SEO / AEO — programmatic landing pages and AI-assisted briefs.

  • Attribution + analytics — first-party tracking, dashboards, and channel ROI.

Customer Success

  • Customer health scores — composite scores with explainable drivers, surfaced in HubSpot and Slack.

  • Churn risk models — flag at-risk accounts early with recommended next actions.

  • Onboarding automation — agent-driven kickoff, asset collection, and first-week reporting.

  • Reporting agents — auto-generate weekly / monthly / quarterly performance reports.

  • Support triage — AI ticket triage and FAQ agents for students and brands (Intercom / Fin AI experience a huge plus).

Tools You’ll Work With
  • Code & data: Python, TypeScript / JavaScript, SQL, Next.js / React, Node, Postgres.

  • AI: Claude Code, ChatGPT, agent frameworks.

  • CRM & growth: HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Clay, Mixpanel, GA4.

  • Support & comms: Intercom (incl. Fin AI), Slack, Notion.

  • Design & infra: Figma, Vercel, GitHub, Linear.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong coding skills (Python, JS/TS, SQL).

  • Comfortable shipping full-stack web — frontend from wireframes, backend logic.

  • Hands-on with LLMs / AI agents (Claude Code, ChatGPT).

  • Experience connecting product data to GTM systems.

  • Familiar with CRM + growth tooling (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Mixpanel).

  • Strong data + analytics skills.

  • Business mindset — you think in funnels, conversion, CAC, retention, and revenue. You can read a P&L and join a sales or CS call without translation.

  • Growth mindset: fast, experimental, data-driven.

  • Clear communicator across technical + business teams.
