Position Overview

Advent Health Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to provide expert counseling services to clients, primarily focusing on the elderly population. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health counseling, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for seniors, especially those navigating significant life transitions.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining a professional approach to delivering mental health services. Our counselors use a variety of teletherapy platforms to connect with clients, ensuring that high-quality care is provided in a convenient manner, regardless of the client's location. The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

  • Provide specialized grief and loss counseling, offering support to residents and families dealing with end-of-life issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on the senior community, addressing their distinct mental health needs that arise from loss, ongoing life transitions, and various age-related issues. Understanding that these clients may face unique emotional and psychological challenges, the LMHC will engage with them empathetically, ensuring that each individual feels heard, respected, and supported throughout their care journey.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
  • Completion of a full-time clinical internship in a mental health setting is required.
  • Eligibility for licensing in the state of Florida as a Mental Health Counselor.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clear driving record are mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, essential for establishing trust and rapport with clients quickly.
  • A capacity for deep listening combined with guidance that balances empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing client care documentation.
Preferred Experience

Experience in addiction counseling is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates with a background in providing care to seniors or those suffering from chronic illnesses will be prioritized. Familiarity with telehealth methodologies and proficiency in using digital health tools for virtual counseling sessions will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Our compensation package also includes sign-on bonuses, monthly productivity incentives, and various bonus opportunities based on clinical performance.
