Job description

The Accounting Intern will assist the accounting department in day-to-day financial operations. This internship offers an opportunity for hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial analysis, with a focus on supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in accounting and finance, be detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Role amp; Responsibilities
  • Help with daily accounting tasks, including data entry and reconciling accounts with a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assists in processing invoices.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
  • Help with customer and vendor inquiries related to billing and payments.
  • Collect and organize financial data for reports and analyses.
  • Help with data analysis to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Assist in gathering documentation for tax preparation and quarterly reports.
  • Assist in maintaining proper documentation and records for internal controls and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during accounting processes.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing financial documents, and assisting with project work.
  • Participate in special accounting projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Attention to detail.
***This position could be full or part-time. Start date is negotiable.
