Job description

Clampco Products, Inc., located in Wadsworth, Oh is the leading USA manufacturer of engineered joining solutions. Our stainless steel T-Bolt Band Clamps, V-Band Clamps/Couplings, Spring-Loaded Clamps, Worm Gear Hose Clamps and Strap Assemblies can be found wherever rubber hoses, plastic tubing, solid objects or other parts must be fastened, joined or securely connected.

About the Role:

The Summer Student Internship offers a unique opportunity for motivated students to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic professional environment. Interns will engage in meaningful tasks that are aimed for learning the organization's processes while developing practical skills and basic industry knowledge. This role is designed to provide exposure to real-world challenges, fostering individual growth over the course of the internship. Interns will collaborate with experienced mentors, gain insights into workplace culture, employer expectations and operational equipment in given areas. Ultimately, this internship aims to prepare students for successful careers by enhancing their technical know-how and expanding their professional networks for their future.

Qualifications:

    • Show your interest in manufacturing fields of study like advanced manufacturing, CNC machining, general equipment operations, administration functions, and general maintenance by completing the on-line application
    • Be a Junior or Senior in good standing
    • At minimum of 16 years of age at the start of the program
    • Meet any qualifications established by the High School/Vocational school to participate (we will help you)
    • Letter of recommendation from a teacher
    • Have the ability to perform the position requirements
    • Successfully meet a pre-employment drug screen, if under 18, obtain a ‘Minor Employee Work Permit’
    • If hesitant, we will invite your family to review our program and tour our facility!

Hours and pay

  • $16.00 per hour with bi-weekly pay,
  • Hours are 8:30a-4:00p, Monday-Thursday
  • Program is from June 8th through August 14th
  • We are flexible in meeting your family and school obligations!

Responsibilities:

  • Learn from mentors and experts in their field, maintain a daily journal
  • Participate in meetings and workshops where you have a voice and can make a difference
  • Collaborate with team members to develop solutions and contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions.
  • Support daily operational tasks assigned, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Receive technical training with potential for professional certifications!
  • Learn the value of safety, expectations, and our commitment to safety at work!
  • Participate in fun events that build relationships and teamwork!

Skills:

Interns will utilize their communication skills daily to effectively share ideas and interact with experts learning manufacturing operations. They will maintain a daily journal of new learnings and prepare and present group presentation of key learnings at the end of the program.
