An Internship in 3D Product Visualization is a temporary position for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in creating digital 3D models and renderings of products. Interns typically use specialized software to visualize prototypes, concepts, or final products for marketing, design, or manufacturing purposes. This role helps interns develop technical skills in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation, while also learning how visualization supports product development and communication within a company.

What types of projects can an intern expect to work on during a 3D product visualization internship?

As an intern in 3D Product Visualization, you will typically work on projects that involve creating realistic 3D models and rendering product visuals for marketing, e-commerce, or design presentations. You may be tasked with transforming 2D sketches or CAD files into photorealistic images, creating animations to showcase product features, and assisting senior designers with visual storytelling. Collaboration with product designers, engineers, and marketing teams is common, providing valuable exposure to the full product development cycle and the opportunity to build a diverse portfolio.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an intern in 3D product visualization?

To thrive in an Internship 3D Product Visualization role, you need foundational knowledge of 3D modeling, rendering techniques, and a background in design or related fields. Job description

We are looking for a full-stack engineer to take ownership of building core product features end-to-end - from interactive 3D rendering in the browser, to generative layout algorithms, to backend APIs and data flows. You'll work across the entire stack to bring our AI-driven architectural design platform to life, making critical decisions about architecture, performance, and user experience. As an early engineer, you'll shape not just the product, but also the engineering culture, tooling, and technical vision.
Upcoming Challenges
  • Building and launching a consumer web scale interactive 3D application for architecture and structural engineering
  • Working with AI engineers to develop AI and procedural generative models; translate acquired image-based blueprint data into structured training data
  • Efficiently and effectively integrate production models in the production system environment
  • Building out the Dream data model, backend infrastructure and front application against new functionality
  • Iterating against needs of pilot customers to bridge product to real world demand

What we Require
  • 3+ years hands-on experience building production products and systems
  • Strong frontend coding skills, proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript
  • Experience building robust backend systems, proficiency with Python
  • Preference: Experience building production AI and Algorithm-heavy products with common model libraries
  • Preference: Experience with Apple ARKit, Swift
  • Willing to operate outside of strict skill sets - this is a small team, and we need people who can flex to what matters most as we grow

Technologies we Use
Typescript, React, Next.JS
Three.JS for 3D web Visualization
Python with Types, Numpy, PyTorch, Shapely
iOS, Swift-UI, ARKit, .IFC
Postgres (Supabase)
AWS
