The Team & Role

Working with Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Copeland, youwill improve your skills learned in the classroom by balancing the priorities of multiple engineering teamsand projects. Youwill collaborate with different departments in addition to their own,in areassuch as Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Sales, Materials, Management, etc. You will needtobe willing to spend time in amanufacturingsetting, in a lab/testingenvironment,and/or bewillingto work inan office setting. Your responsibilities will combine individual tasks as well as collaborative work orgroupprojects.Opportunity in Sidney, OH and St. Louis, MO.

Potential Internship Roles within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Group:

  • Manufacturing Engineering

  • Design Engineering

  • Advanced Technology

  • Assembly

Available Terms with Start & End Dates:

  • Fall - 8/17/26 - 12/18/26

Team Projects May Include:

  • Design Engineering - Create 3D models and drawings for tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing. Work alongside experienced design professionals and gain exposure to 3D printing and automation design.

  • Advanced Manufacturing - Contribute to process improvement, audits, and manufacturing development projects. Gain experience with data analysis, lab prototyping equipment, and design software for real-world applications.

  • Process & Equipment Development - Assist with new product launches, plant layouts, and equipment implementation. Apply Lean principles, participate in PFMEAs, and help qualify manufacturing processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's program in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Strong interest in manufacturing, process improvement, or product design

  • Skills or coursework in areas such as CAD/3D modeling, machining, data analysis, Lean/continuous improvement, or automation

  • Anticipated Graduation of May 2027
