Job description

About the Position:

As a Single Tenant Lease (STL) Portfolio Manager (PM) you will provide general credit monitoring activities, administrative support and oversight to the bank’s commercial real estate loan portfolio in an effort to prudently manage ongoing risk. You will work closely with the bank’s credit department to obtain timely formal credit approvals. Conduct review and follow-up activities to maintain the general condition and quality of the commercial real estate loan portfolio. Typical Loans for a PM can consist of single or multiple Borrowing Entities with one or more Guarantors or Guarantor couples.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform consistent and accurate analysis, underwriting and preparation of Credit Approval Documents for new loan requests, renewals of existing loans or modifications to existing loans in the portfolio
  • Oversee the timely monitoring and collection of periodic loan servicing requirements and address documentation exceptions
  • Monitor delinquency reporting, and upcoming loan maturities to assure timely completion of annual reviews, loan renewals, yearly risk rating assessments and other Loan Monitoring as applicable
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure loans are properly booked based on final approval conditions and executed loan documentation
  • Ensure all documentation is properly saved in the electronic file imaging system
  • Perform analysis and recommend Internal Risk Ratings on Loan Portfolio Tenants
  • Work with bank’s third-party vendors to monitor collateral and property tax status
  • Assist other department personnel to ensure new loans book accurately
  • Assist with preparation, completion and distribution of department loan data reports for the department
  • Responsible for any other duties/activities assigned by Vice President, CRE Portfolio Manager Team Lead

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum of five years of relevant banking or credit experience required with a focus in the Commercial Real Estate or related field preferred
  • A bachelors degree in business or finance
  • Good understanding of financial statement preparation and content
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel and other Microsoft Office products

Working Conditions/Demands:

  • Professional office setting.
  • Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
