Job description

Overview

Medallia is the pioneer and market leader in Experience Management. Our award-winning SaaS platform, Medallia Experience Cloud, leads the market in the management of experiences, insights, and actions for candidates, customers, employees, patients, and residents alike.

We believe that every experience is a memory that can last a lifetime. Experiences shape the way people feel about a company. And they greatly influence how likely people are to advocate, contribute, and stay. At Medallia, we are committed to creating a world where organizations are loved by their customers and their employees.

We empower exceptional people to create extraordinary experiences together.

Bring your whole self.

The Role and Team

We are writing the next chapter for Medallia, and social media plays a critical role in how the world sees that story. We are looking for a bold, social-first strategist and extreme executor to come in, grab the wheel, and redefine how Medallia shows up across social and community channels. As part of our Content & Communications team, you will build and scale a growth-oriented social strategy that accelerates our business, elevates our brand voice, and positions Medallia as the undisputed authority in AI-driven experience transformation. You live and breathe social, understand culture-driven engagement as deeply as algorithm shifts, and possess the creative muscle to turn long-form executive thinking into viral micro-content.

If you're someone who naturally mines Reddit for campaign ideas, loves partnering directly with C-suite executives, and has a proven track record of transforming a brand's digital presence, this role was built for you.

Responsibilities
  • Own & Drive the Master Strategy: Move beyond reactive scheduling. Build, pitch, and execute a high-impact social roadmap that scales our audience, drives meaningful engagement, and measurably expands Medallia's brand reach.
  • Transform Content into Social-First Assets: Deconstruct complex B2B topics, executive blogs, whitepapers, and keynotes into punchy, high-performing micro-content (carousels, short-form video scripts, sharp copy, visual hooks) designed to thrive on LinkedIn and beyond.
  • Lead Executive Social Presence: Partner closely with Corporate Communications and C-suite leadership to craft, refine, and elevate their personal brand voices on social media-turning our executives into trusted industry thought leaders.
  • Mine Social & CX Intelligence: Actively monitor Reddit, CX forums, LinkedIn threads, and industry communities to spot emerging trends, customer pain points, and conversation hooks. Translate these insights into fresh social campaigns or pass actionable intelligence to Content and Marketing teams.
  • Be the Brand Barometer & Creative Gatekeeper: Push our aesthetic and narrative boundaries. Stand up for visual and copy quality, rejecting boring B2B templates in favor of modern, mobile-optimized, platform-native design and tone.
  • Champion Proactive Engagement: Bring a "chronically online" perspective to our brand voice. Proactively jump into relevant industry discussions, engage key influencers, and make Medallia an active participant in real-time internet culture within the CX space.
  • Measure What Matters: Track engagement velocity, audience growth, sentiment, and share of voice. Continuously test new formats and leverage data to optimize our content mix in real time.

Who You Are

  • Social-First DNA: You don't just "manage" social accounts; you're natively immersed in social culture. You understand algorithm nuances, platform mechanics, and content trends before they hit the mainstream.
  • An Extreme Executor: You have a bias for action. You don't wait for permission or detailed briefs-you identify an opportunity, draft the content, line up the assets, and execute seamlessly.
  • Executive Presence & Confidence: You feel comfortable sitting with VP and C-level leaders, pitching bold ideas, coaching them on social best practices, and drafting content in their voice.
  • A Creative Storyteller & Repurposer: You look at a 10-page report or 30-minute keynote and instantly see 5 LinkedIn posts, 2 carousels, and 3 video concepts.
  • Curious & Obsessed with CX: You're excited to dive deep into the Customer Experience ecosystem, learning the domain nuances so your content resonates deeply with practitioners and executives alike.
  • Data-Informed, Not Data-Paralyzed: You use performance metrics to double down on what works and kill what doesn't, remaining nimble enough to pivot quickly.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience managing, executing, and scaling social media channels for a business, brand, or agency.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to grow social media reach, engagement, and audience quality across core business platforms (especially LinkedIn and X/Twitter).
  • Exceptional Copywriting & AI Mastery: A portfolio showing sharp, conversational, punchy copy adapted for short-form digital formats and executive voices. A system for leveraging AI to shorten cycles and maximize creativity and efficiency.
  • Social Tools & Analytics: Hands-on experience with enterprise social media management and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Sprinklr, or similar).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working alongside Communications, PR, Design, and Content teams to align digital campaigns with broader company goals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Social Transformation Experience: Proven experience transforming a social presence from a passive broadcast channel into an active, high-engagement growth engine-either in B2B SaaS, tech, or agency settings.
  • Executive Ghostwriting & Coaching: Direct experience partnering with C-suite or VP-level leaders to build, write for, and scale their personal LinkedIn/social presences.
  • Active Social Listening & Mining: Demonstrated proficiency using social listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater) or native community tracking (Reddit, CX/EX forums, Quora) to source content ideas, spot market trends, and gather intelligence.
  • Content Repurposing Mastery: Ability to quickly digest long-form technical content (whitepapers, blogs, keynotes) and translate it into high-performing micro-content (carousels, short-form scripts, visual hooks).
  • Chronically Online / Creator Mindset: A personal track record of active engagement on digital platforms, demonstrating a deep, native understanding of platform algorithms, modern internet culture, and emerging post formats before they go mainstream.
  • Domain Curiosity: Familiarity with or a strong desire to immerse in the Customer Experience (CX), Employee Experience (EX), or B2B enterprise software spaces.
