Job description

Job Overview:
Shift and Schedule: This position is fully remote and supports both U.S. and international customers. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST. Flexibility to provide additional coverage outside of scheduled hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required as needed.
The International Trade Senior Specialist is a key member of the International Trade Compliance team responsible for supporting global customs import/export compliance activities. This role ensures compliance with international trade regulations related to classification, valuation, country of origin, labeling, auditing, and customs reporting.
The position partners closely with Accounting, Inventory, Transportation, Distribution, Legal, Purchasing, and Tax teams to support corporate customs and trade compliance initiatives and reports directly to the Director of Global Trade Compliance.
Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of international trade compliance strategies
  • Apply import/export compliance expertise to support and conduct global internal audits
  • Interpret and apply customs laws and regulations
  • Classify products and assign HTS codes for hardgoods, food, beverages, and related products
  • Maintain item setup within SAP, including tariff classification and country of origin assignment
  • Perform post-entry reviews to ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian customs laws
  • Analyze import/export activity and provide recommendations for process improvements and compliance enhancements
  • Support escalation and resolution of live border and customs clearance issues
  • Troubleshoot commercial invoice discrepancies and customs documentation issues
  • Research customs rulings related to HTS classification, valuation, and country of origin
  • Prepare and submit binding ruling requests when required
  • Monitor compliance activities within assigned business segments
  • Assist with development of reporting frameworks and supply chain/compliance analysis
  • Lead or support trade compliance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support testing, maintenance, and upgrades of trade compliance systems and tools
  • Partner with customs brokers and external providers to facilitate global customs clearance
  • Interface with Keurig Dr Pepper locations globally regarding customs and trade matters
  • Monitor global trade developments and regulatory updates impacting the business
  • Maintain customs certifications including C-TPAT, ISA, CEE, and related programs
  • Participate in global expansion and operational implementation initiatives as the International Trade representative

Total Rewards:
  • Targeted annual compensation range of $95,000-$120,000
  • This is a salaried, exempt position paid biweekly. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, International Business, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Customs Broker License required
  • 3-9 years of import/export or international trade compliance experience
  • Strong understanding of customs regulations, import/export compliance, and HTS classification
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs; SAP experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
