POSITION OPEN:ย  Afternoon Custodian Shift Leader
LOCATION:ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Norup International School
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm ย  *hours subject to change during summer break
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year
COMPENSATION:ย Starting at $19.35 per hour per the current AFSCME Salary Scheduleย  - commensurate with education/experience + benefit package provided in the current AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement
QUALIFICATIONS:







  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Good moral character
  • Ability to create and maintain good public relations
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Ability to operate equipment, materials and methods used in custodial work
  • Ability to work without constant direct supervision
  • Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attendance record
  • ?Successful completion of drug/fitness screening and criminal background check

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clean assigned areas as follows:
  • ย  Sweep and vacuum rooms and halls
  • ย  Dust rooms and lockers
  • ย  Mop bathroom floor, clean toilets and urinals and replenish paper supplies
  • ย  Clean whiteboards as necessary
  • ย  Clean doors and windows
  • ย  Clean entryways
  • ย  Report any needed repairs to custodial supervisor
  • ย  Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in their section
  • Assist Head Custodian in daily operations of building.
  • Responsible for reporting condition of building daily to Head Custodian and/or building administrator
  • Lead, and participate in, setups and takedowns for events and activities
  • Clean up after night activities
  • Assist with snow removal
  • Perform other duties as assigned
